There are Trademark and Copyright Guidelines that apply to individuals or organizations who acknowledged and accepted the Terms and Conditions of the License Agreement for the use of the Our Journey of Hope^® ministry items [Users] and who wish to use the Our Journey of Hope name, the related logo, the Cancer Treatment Centers of America^® name including its acronym CTCA^® (but not the CTCA boy-tree-dog logo), or any copyrighted or other proprietary material provided on www.ourjourneyofhope.com, during one of the Our Journey of Hope cancer care ministry leadership trainings (that are sponsored by CTCA) or any material provided by CTCA or any of its affiliates in connection with advertising, marketing, informational and reference materials, on websites or on printed publications or promotional giveaways.

Use of CTCA or Our Journey of Hope related trademarks, logos, designs, materials, resources, content or any other related copyrighted or other proprietary materials that are not specified in the Terms and Conditions of the License Agreement or its Guidelines are not permissible without prior written permission by the Pastoral Care Department at CTCA.

The provisions and terms set up in these Guidelines complement the Terms and Conditions of the License Agreement.

Use in Electronic and Non-Electronic Medium

It is strictly prohibited for any User to create or register a unique website, URL (domain name), social media outlet, trademark or business name that uses – in full or in part – the name Our Journey of Hope^®.

CTCA will only permit the use of the Our Journey of Hope name and logo by a User on a website, social media page, marketing materials and/or in any other publications (of electronic and non-electronic manner) in form of a reference for the purpose of establishing, promoting, advertising, marketing or supporting an Our Journey of Hope approved cancer care ministry^[1].

Users are permitted to use the Our Journey of Hope name and logo in conjunction with their unique approved cancer care ministry or related programs, events, trainings etc. only in a way that avoids: (1) any confusion to the public as to the relationship between CTCA and the relevant cancer care ministry and (2) any risk of misconceptions about the ownership and/or source of the Our Journey of Hope name, logo, and any other materials related to the program and CTCA. If in doubt, contact the CTCA Pastoral Care Department at the contact details specified at the end of this document.

Examples of acceptable uses/references are as follows:

1^st Baptist Church offers spiritual support to cancer patients and their families through their Our Journey of Hope^® Cancer Care Ministry. Our Journey of Hope is a spiritual outreach program sponsored by Cancer Treatment Centers of America^® (CTCA).
1^st Baptist Church is facilitating spiritual support to cancer patients and their families by offering a local Cancer Care Ministry based on the Our Journey of Hope^® spiritual outreach program sponsored by Cancer Treatment Centers of America^® (CTCA).
Our Journey of Hope^® Cancer Care Ministry is now offered by 1^st Baptist Church. This program helps cancer patients and their families spiritually in the fight against cancer and is based on the Our Journey of Hope spiritual outreach program sponsored by Cancer Treatment Centers of America^® (CTCA).

CTCA retains the right to request the removal and/or revision of any materials, language, advertisement and/or other publication referencing and/or using the Our Journey of Hope or CTCA name, logo and other related proprietary materials.

Logo Use on Promotional Items/Materials

There might be circumstances for using the Our Journey of Hope^® name or logo on non-print/promotional materials. To ensure that these specialty items and materials comply with the Our Journey of Hope brand standards, Users are requested to send any promotional giveaway items to the CTCA Pastoral Care Department in their region (see contact list) prior to production/printing.

Moreover, the following standards and guidelines apply to the use of the Our Journey of Hope name and logo on promotional materials:

No promotional giveaway items other than shirts, pens, hats mugs, lapel pens, and notebooks [“Promotional Items”] are accepted in connection with Our Journey of Hope. Users are not permitted to use the Our Journey of Hope name or logo on any other items or materials without prior written permission by the CTCA Pastoral Care Department.
Whenever possible, Users must use the Our Journey of Hope logo in color as per the below specification on the logo usage on the Promotional Items.
Users should never use the Our Journey of Hope logo in any other colors than specified on below as this leads to inconsistent representations.
Users are requested to use the Our Journey of Hope color palette as specified below on the Promotional Items whenever possible.
Due to space restraints and as an exception to the above outlined examples of acceptable uses/references, Users may use the Our Journey of Hope name or logo directly followed by the name of their church or ministry. The following examples are considered acceptable for this purpose:
- Our Journey of Hope Cancer Care Ministry * with Grace Life Church
- Our Journey of Hope Cancer Care Ministry * at Grace Life Church
- Our Journey of Hope Cancer Care Ministry * of Grace Life Church
- Our Journey of Hope Cancer Care Ministry * Grace Life Church

* Use of the Our Journey of Hope logo in place of the text/name is permissible as per the below examples.

Please note: Use of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America name or logo, CTCA or any other names and designs are prohibited on the Promotional Items without prior written permission by the CTCA Pastoral Care Department.

Producing and distributing promotional items for commercial profit sale using the Our Journey of Hope name or logo is strictly prohibited.

Specification for Logo Use

Only use the Our Journey of Hope^® logo available for download on this microsite or as provided by the CTCA Pastoral Care Department. Do not change the size, color or white space surrounding the logo (you are only permitted to adjust size for scalability in restrictive space areas).

A solid white version of the logo can be used on printed materials where the background color is too dark for the logo to be legible.

Specific Guidelines on Correct Trademark Usage

The following simple rules apply to any use of the Our Journey of Hope^® name and logo

DO:

Distinguish the Our Journey of Hope marks (name and logo) from surrounding text by properly capitalizing the words.
Spell the Our Journey of Hope name properly at all times.
Use the ^® symbol after Our Journey of Hope in any heading and at least when mentioned in a text for the first time.
Only use the Our Journey of Hope logo as provided to you by CTCA.
Only use the Our Journey of Hope name and logo to identify services that are in line with mission and vision of the CTCA Our Journey of Hope cancer care program.
Whenever possible include a disclaimer stating that “Our Journey of Hope name and logo, Cancer Treatment Centers of America and CTCA are trademarks of IPB, used under license”.

DO NOT:

Do not change the size, color or spacing requirements of the Our Journey of Hope logo outlined above (you are only permitted to adjust size for scalability in restrictive space areas).
Do not incorporate the Our Journey of Hope or CTCA name or logo or a confusingly similar mark into, for example, the name of your business, organization, non-profit organization, event, URL/domain name, or trademark.
Do not remove, alter, distort or modify the Our Journey of Hope name or logo, including adding other terms to the name to create new words/marks.
Do not use the Our Journey of Hope name and logo or a confusingly similar mark in a way that falsely implies a relationship or affiliation with, sponsorship, or endorsement by CTCA/Our Journey of Hope.
Do not use any names, logos or designs that are confusingly similar to the Our Journey of Hope name and logo or the look and feel of the ourjourneyofhope.com website.
Do not register or use a domain name containing the trademarked term Our Journey of Hope.
Do not use the Our Journey of Hope name and logo to identify services that are not in line with the mission and vision of the CTCA Our Journey of Hope cancer care program.

The following simple rules apply to any use of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America^® (CTCA) name

DO:

Distinguish the Cancer Treatment Centers of America name from surrounding text by properly capitalizing and spelling the words.
Use the full and complete Cancer Treatment Centers of America name the first time mentioned in a text followed by the abbreviated name in parentheses (CTCA) and include the ® symbol after the full name (but not after the abbreviated name in parentheses). After that the abbreviation or acronym CTCA can be used.
The first stand-alone reference of the acronym CTCA in a text/body copy requires the ® symbol.
Whenever possible include a disclaimer stating that “Our Journey of Hope name and logo, Cancer Treatment Centers of America and CTCA are trademarks of IPB, used under license”.

DO NOT:

Do not use the CTCA boy-tree-dog logo or any confusingly similar logo under any circumstances!
Do not use the CTCA name to refer to or identify any goods or services not related and/or not in line with the mission and vision of the CTCA Our Journey of Hope cancer care program.
Do not incorporate the CTCA name or a confusingly similar mark into, for example, the name of your business, organization, non-profit organization, event, URL/domain name, or trademark.
Do not remove, alter, distort or modify the CTCA name, including adding other terms to the name to create new words/marks.
Do not use the CTCA name or a confusingly similar mark in a way that falsely implies a relationship or affiliation with, sponsorship, or endorsement by CTCA.
Do not use any names, logos or designs that are confusingly similar to the CTCA name or logo.
Do not register or use a domain name containing the trademarked term Cancer Treatment Centers of America or CTCA.
