Research shows that spirituality and religion play a vital role in helping people cope with cancer, both mentally and physically. The psychological benefits of prayer include: reduction of stress and anxiety, promotion of a more positive outlook, and a strengthening of your will to live.
Our Journey of Hope® is a spiritual outreach program of the Pastoral Care Department of Cancer Treatment Centers of America created to provide spiritual support to cancer patients and their family members. At Cancer Treatment Centers of America, our entire care team embraces you and your spirituality. From our oncologists to members of our hospital staff, we combine faith and medicine. We know the two work best when they work hand-in-hand.
As a person battling cancer, whether your faith is Christian, Jewish, Jehovah Witness, Mormon, Buddhist, Hindu or Muslim, we will encourage and support you in your spiritual journey. We recognize your faith emanates from the core of your beliefs, contributes to your identity and impacts every aspect of your life. Whatever form your spirituality takes, your faith and your beliefs can be healing forces in your life. The warmth, love and belonging that you gain from your faith can help you find peace, comfort and meaning.
In this section of the Our Journey of Hope® website, we offer spiritual support such as devotionals, sermons, testimonies from cancer survivors, prayer support, Scripture you might find helpful and an opportunity for you to engage in conversation with other people battling cancer.
We'll support you spiritually, whether you choose to have treatment at CTCA or not. Please take advantage of the devotionals, sermons, patient testimonials and other resources on our site now.
