Mission, Vision, and Covenant

The objectives of Our Journey of HopeŽ are two-fold. First and foremost, we want to serve each and every person seeking spiritual support during their battle with cancer Secondly, we hope to attract patients seeking cancer treatment in a spiritually supportive environment to our hospitals. Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) is currently located at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion, Illinois, Southwestern Regional Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and we have an outpatient facility in Seattle, Washington. We're also planning to build a hospital in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Medicine and spirituality have been connected since the time of Christ, but for the last few centuries, they have been separated and on opposite ends of the healing spectrum. When Jesus Christ walked upon the earth, he became known first for the healing miracles he preformed, and then for what he taught. One of our desires is to reestablish this relationship between the medical and spiritual communities, which for many centuries walked alongside each other in a mirrored relationship.

We do this is a variety of ways. We try to create partnerships with churches and spiritual leaders to share what we've learned over the years at CTCA about ministering to the spiritual needs of cancer patients. In this way, we multiply the numbers of people who can minister to those with cancer we might never reach. We look for opportunities for our Directors of Pastoral Care to come to your local area and speak to physicians, churches, community leaders and all interested individuals on the spiritual aspect of the healing process and how CTCA, in particular, meets the needs of cancer patients, caregivers and family members. We spend time with each cancer patient who seeks our help, ministering to them in ways that will strengthen and support their faith, give them hope and aid in their healing process.

Our vision is to be recognized and trusted by people living with cancer as true providers of spiritual hope and healing.

Our mission is to create a safe and compassionate environment to restore hope and wellness for the whole person, spirit, mind and body. The doors to our home are open to all faiths and beliefs. We respect and accept each person's spiritual needs and wants. We will always walk alongside you, trust, and believe in you. We will help empower your faith, as you journey with cancer.

It is our intention to openly and warmly support and serve all of those who seek spiritual healing and believe that part of their healing process includes having their spiritual needs met.

Our covenant to each patient, caregiver and family member is that your spiritual wholeness is at the center of your mental, emotional and physical healing. And, therefore is at the center of our hearts, minds and actions, everyday. We rally our team around you, walk along side you, trusting and believing in you. We offer powerful spiritual options all based on your needs. We honor your courage, and respect your faith, beliefs and affiliations. We offer our unrelenting prayers, always having good and hopeful expectations, for you.
