About UsOur Journey of HopeŽ is the culmination of a vision born in the heart of a cancer patient and those who ministered to her spiritual needs at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. It's a means to meet the spiritual needs of cancer patients and their loved ones and to strengthen and complement the spiritual support many of them may already be receiving from other sources, such as their local church. While some cancer patients have a spiritual support system in place in their lives when they receive a diagnosis of cancer, they may need their faith strengthened by hearing from those who have traveled the same path they're now walking and have emerged victorious on the other side. Others may not have access to local or neighborhood spiritual support. For still others, organized religious settings and groups simply have not met their needs. Where do these people connect, and how do they get the spiritual support they yearn? This website, ourjourneyofhope.com, is one aspect of the entire Our Journey of HopeŽ program. This electronic vehicle allows cancer patients and their families to tap into spiritual resources, counselors, and a community of people very much like themselves, without leaving their home. Ourjourneyofhope.com is a way to extend a rope of love, support, and hope, as these cancer patients navigate through the waters of sickness, disease, and despair. |
